Supporting your birth through calm connectedness, each step of the way.
About Erin
My name is Erin Megenity. I live on the East side of Milwaukee with my husband and our son, Elwood. I was born in California, I grew up in nearby Cedarburg, Wisconsin, and I am a graduate of Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois.
I trained as a birth doula through DONA International after serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ethiopia. I have long been drawn to birth work, and I feel passionately about helping women have a positive birth experience.
As your doula, I will spend time getting to know you while we consider your hopes and fears for your birth. These will feed into your personalized birth plan, which will then guide my work during the birth itself. I will provide hands-on comfort measures, emotional and informational support, and a calm, connected presence. I will help to provide the information you need to make informed decisions about your birth, and then support those decisions.
I also believe that partners and doulas compliment each other. I will work to support your partner so they are able to best support you.
